Zachary Sahar, CPA
Managing Director
Zachary graduated from the University of Minnesota and worked for one of the Big 4 CPA firms conducting audit and advisory services and performing tax consultation for small business clients. Zachary was also a Six Sigma leader with General Electric, where he improved internal controls, re-engineered financial processes to streamline operations, and improved profitability by leading cross-functional teams. He initiated and championed many Six Sigma projects within GE leading to operational efficiency and increased profitability.
Zachary is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is also active in the local community through various non-profit and volunteer organizations.
Winnie Qian
Tax Accountant
Winnie is an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. She has significant experience with individual, S-corporation, C-Corporation, Partnership, and fiduciary tax returns. Winnie also performs projections and tax planning for our professional, executive, and business clients to minimize their taxes.
Winnie received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of California, Berkeley. Winnie’s hobbies include movies, reading books, and listening to podcasts on historical topics.
Steve Rehdish
Tax Accountant
Steve started his career with the IRS where he was an auditor in the small business and individual sections. He also brings over 30 years of private sector tax planning experience. These experiences bring high value to clients in terms of both compliance and planning.
Steve specializes in handling business clients’ needs, preparing business and owners’ returns as well as performing family tax planning. Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from San Francisco State University.
Michelle Carroll
Financial Accountant
Michelle is a bay area native with 25+ years of accounting experience. Michelle sets up outstanding accounting and bookkeeping systems for small businesses that support their business’ daily and strategic goals. She completes the monthly bookkeeping and trains small businesses to understand their key metrics and to optimize gross revenue and profitability.
Michelle studied graphic design at Academy of Art and creative writing/Journalism at Diablo Valley College. She is a mother of 2 great kids and loves animals (She has 2 rescue dogs). Michelle’s hobbies include drawing, writing poetry, cooking for her family, spending time outdoors and taking road trips.
Katherine Wells
Tax Accountant
After four and a half years with the tax department at the Bank of New York Mellon, Katherine joined the Capital Tax team in 2022. Katherine brings years of tax compliance experience working with both domestic and international firms. Katherine’s experiences allow her to deliver outstanding service to a wide variety of client issues.
Katherine graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Business Economics from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Katherine lives in Pittsburg with her dog and two cats.
Jenna Mackouse
Marketing and Project Coordinator
Jenna joined Capital Tax in 2022 as a marketing and project coordinator. Her entrepreneurial mindset and passion for learning and growth propels her to deliver outstanding client service. Outside of work, Jenna’s hobbies include theatre and soccer. Through these hobbies, Jenna cultivates skills including working as a team, being creative in solving issues, and committing to achieving great results through perseverance.
Jenna graduated from the University of California, Davis with a degree in Sociology and Organizational Studies with a business emphasis.
